Puyallup's Urban Forest is comprised of trees, gardens, green spaces, and other natural areas. Puyallup's Urban Forest provides a myriad of benefits - from intercepting storm water, conserving energy, cleaning the air, beautifying our city, improving health - making our communities cleaner, safer, and healthier while reducing the costs associated with many other services. Managing, monitoring, and enhancing this important resource is critical to community character, sustained economic development and environmental health.
Tree City USA
2017 is Puyallup's fourth year as a Tree City USA! In April of 2017, the City of Puyallup was again recognized by the Arbor Day Foundation and WA State Department of Natural Resources as a Tree City USA. To celebrate, community volunteers planted new trees at Dead Man's Pond open space.
